"Who needs sway bars anyway" (Astonman)

Hey, its been too long opponaughts! But I bought myself a thing last night and wanted to share. Its am 84' 528e. its my first standard and my first German. Runs and drives good, little crusty around the creases but nothing serious, many, many, many miles. First to guess how much I payed gets a treat. Also driving it home from NH last night was only my second time driving stick!

I wouldnt touch that for over $1200 bucks, being an e with crappy rims.
That would be my words to the seller. Although I think it looks good and they are nice reliable cars! I hope it was in the roughly 1K range

oh yeah no sense complaining. It isnt particularly desirable being the low end NA e model, and I hated the factory rims on those anyhow. Great engines, nice transmissions, you probably got the vinyl interior which is super durable. Good deal! Only 200 more than I spent on my 505 STi!
Thanks for the pics, and congrats!

Very cool! I had an '84 528e as my first car 11 years ago. I paid $200 for it and loved it for the year and a half I drove it until it got too rusty for me to handle. Sold it for the same $200 at 310kmi. If I ever saw one for sale around me at a decent price I'd buy another in a heartbeat!
